Pillowcases Donated

The Austin Pillowcase Project started out as a home project for one of our supporters, Victoria Newby and it has grown so much that we invite the community to get involved with this project to make sure every child in our emergency shelters receives a pillowcase.

There are approximately 100 children living in our emergency shelters in Austin on any given day.  Often these children come to the shelters with just the clothes on their back.  The Austin Pillowcase Project seeks to bring comfort to children with no place to call home.

We are looking for individuals and groups to sew pillowcases or to donate fabric for others to do the sewing.  This will ensure that every child that comes to our shelters will have a pillowcase that they can call their own and take with them when they leave the shelter.

All donations of 100% cotton fabric are welcome!

Thank you to A Quilter’s Folly and St. John Neumann Catholic Church for supporting this project.
