With children back in school, we wish to thank everyone who donated during our Back to School drive this year.  Thank you to Spirit 105.9 who supported us on their radio station, along with providing drop-off events.  And a huge thank you to the nineteen businesses and organizations that held back to school drives to collect school clothes and supplies donations for our children living with their families in our emergency shelters.

We are indeed grateful for the support everyone has given to these children who can now start school with the same excitement and readiness as all other children.

The Salvation Army runs and operates two emergency shelters, serving more than 100 children of all ages, from birth through seniors in high school, on any given day.

“Our children often come to us with just the clothes on their back. Giving them new clothes and school supplies is an amazing way to start their school year off.”  says Donna Clendennen, Volunteer Coordinator at The Salvation Army of Austin.”
