Thank you!

School is back in session and we received an overwhelming response to our Back to School drive!  We are so grateful for the donations of school supplies that were purchased and brought to us by businesses, organizations and individuals to make sure children in our community had the supplies to make this year successful.

The Salvation Army runs and operates two emergency shelters, serving more than 100 children of all ages, from birth through seniors in high school, on any given day.

“Our children often come to us with just the clothes on their back. Giving them new clothes and school supplies is an amazing way to start their school year off,”  says Donna Clendennen, Volunteer Coordinator at The Salvation Army of Austin.

The Salvation Army and Walmart  joined forces to provide new school supplies to local children in need during the “Stuff the Bus” campaign event.

In-store shoppers on August 3, 2019 received lists of supplies needed and all they had to do is shop and drop their “Stuff the Bus” purchases off in our Salvation Army collection bins that were located outside of several local area Walmart locations in Travis and Williamson counties.
