The Salvation Army Rathgeber Center

Expected to Open February

The Salvation Army Rathgeber Center is a 212 bed shelter and will be a safe-haven for families experiencing homelessness in our community.  In 2018, The Salvation Army sheltered 1,938 men, women and children, and has provided more than 141,901 meals for individuals and families in Austin. The new shelter will increase the current budget by 4.9 million dollars a year to be fully operational. Funding is vital in order to fully staff and run all necessary programs at this brand-new shelter.

There are several opportunities for people to get involved: donate online by clicking the donate button below, or mail a check to The Salvation Army at 4700 Manor Rd, Austin, TX 78723. Room sponsorships are available! To learn more, contact Corey Leigh, at Corey.Leith@uss.salvationarmy.org.
