The “miracle” of Christmas is through the joy of caring and sharing.
The traditional red kettle is an integral part of the Christmas scene, with money donated each year to aid families in need and those experiencing homelessness.
Volunteers distribute gifts to children in need through Angel Tree. The downtown shelter is open for sit-down holiday meal services at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Salvation Army works hard to bring spiritual light and love to those we serve at Christmas so that the real meaning of the season is remembered.
Donations provide many families with the help they need over a period of months after the Christmas season, as well as people struggling with difficult family, emotional, or employment problems.
Because we want to respond to the variety of needs in our communities, all of our holiday assistance programs are administered locally.
