Step 2. Attend an hour-long orientation that is held at The Salvation Army Austin Area Command, located at 4700 Manor Road, Austin, TX 78723. This is an opportunity to meet the Volunteer Manager, learn about The Salvation Army and schedule your first volunteer opportunity.

As the largest provider of emergency shelter in Central Texas, annually we serve more than 10,000 men, women, and children with shelter, addiction rehabilitation, clothing, meals, holiday support, and direct client assistance. We case manage hundreds from crisis stability and self-sufficiency.
