National Volunteer Week

Apr 21, 2024

The Salvation Army's impactful work in Central Texas is supported by amazing volunteers committed to "Doing the Most Good."

To celebrate National Volunteer week, we are taking the opportunity to thank all volunteers for all the hard work they do to help our neighbors in need. The efforts of our volunteers impact the lives of thousands of mothers, fathers, and children each year.

Last fiscal year, we had nearly 2,500 volunteers. In the first quarter of this fiscal year, we have already surpassed 2,500 volunteers! During Angel Tree alone, 2,765 volunteers belonging to 92 different groups helped us inventory and distribute gifts, ensuring thousands of local children would have a Christmas worth remembering. Our volunteers have also generously given their time at our shelters and fundraising events—their efforts give us the resources we need to help our clients regain stability and reach self-sufficiency.

Your time and effort is important—it makes a difference.  We are so grateful to the members of our community who consistently exceed our expectations and help us in our mission of "Doing The Most Good.”

Our volunteers have a profound impact on the families we serve. Their help shows our clients there are people who care, and it gives them hope for a brighter tomorrow.

We extend a heartfelt gratitude to all who have given their time to volunteer with us. Thank you!
