The 10th Annual Rock The Red Kettle
On Sunday, November 5th our 10th Annual Rock The Red Kettle event at ACL Live struck a powerful chord. It was a vibrant evening filled with live tunes, a gourmet dinner, and shared love for serving our local community. We had an energetic auction by The Cowboy Auctioneers who introduced incredible packages, including a 7-night stay at a 19th century mill in France, a majestic 4-night stay at a luxury Montana log cabin, and a catered private party with an acoustic performance by Cory Morrow!
The spotlight shone on Lee Brice and Elle King who, for the first time, joined forces in an intimate acoustic set that will be etched in our memories for years to come. With touching stories about family life and the meanings behind their music, we were reminded how powerful community can be. We also had a Rock the Red Kettle favorite, Zac Wilkerson, back on stage as our opening act for the night.
Cory Morrow was honored for his years of dedication and support of our mission. He was presented the highest award from The Salvation Army, The Other’s Award. Cory has been with us since Rock the Red Kettle was just an idea and has stood by our side to see it through as the event grew to the scale of ACL Live.
We had special guests in attendance at this year’s Rock the Red Kettle, The Salvation Army’s Texas Division Commanders, Lt. Colonels Penhale and Captains Parrish. It was an honor to have them at the event, together with our community and supporters in Austin.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who attended and to our incredible sponsors. Your enthusiasm and support are the driving force behind our mission. Cheers to the difference you've made and the hope you've helped spread. Thank you!
