Volunteers Needed – Tutoring in Shelter
We're looking for volunteers to provide support and guidance for children at The Rathgeber Center for Families and The Austin Shelter for Women and Children. Join our Child Program Manager and Classroom Teacher to help students with homework, reading skills, and other activities. To be eligible for this role, volunteers must have passed a background check and completed the Safe from Harm Training.
Volunteers play a crucial role in creating a positive and nurturing environment for the children living in our shelters. By dedicating your time and skills to assisting with homework, reading skills, and various enrichment activities, you can make a lasting impact on the lives of these young individuals. Working alongside our staff, you can help these students build confidence, improve their academic performance, and develop important skills that will serve them well in the future.
To ensure the safety and well-being of the children, volunteers are required to have passed a background check and completed the Safe from Harm Training. This helps create a secure environment where children can thrive and learn.
If you feel called to make a difference in the lives of these children and are ready to volunteer your time, please fill out the interest form by visiting doingmostgood.org/tutor. Together, we can create a brighter future for the children in our community!
