Wilco Gives 2024
The Salvation Army’s Williamson County Service Center offers urgently needed rent and utility assistance to families and individuals facing the possibility of homelessness in Williamson County, in order to keep them in their homes.
The Service Center offers intake and assessment of the needs of men, women, and children to provide direct services and refers qualified individuals to other important social services in the county.
On Friday, February 23, we held our Wilco Gives event, a fundraiser supporting The Williamson County Service Center. The event was complete with dinner, an online auction, and lively entertainment and dancing courtesy of Bubba Cox and his band!
Our heartfelt gratitude extends to Delton Robinson, a generous donor whose $16,000 gift served as matching funds for the event. Thanks to his kindness and the generosity of everyone involved, we successfully raised more than $45,000 to benefit The Williamson County Service Center.
Zarian Hopkins was a mother in crisis who turned to The Williamson County Service Center for help. We sat down with her to hear her story of hope. She shared, "The Salvation Army is Doing The Most Good because they are helping year-round. It's not just rental assistance. It's rental assistance, food bank, clothing...it's an extension of people coming together and giving and helping other people who need help. And in my case as someone who needed help, received the help, and now I'm giving back. Because I believe since I received that help it's good to bless others as I was blessed, because you never know what someone else is going through."
