FAQ's

Watch our video on how to apply above and follow the instructions. Your application is connected to your email. A verification code will be sent to your email to get started. You will need to copy and paste the verification code into the portal to continue. The email subject line is “Angel Tree” and will come from [email protected]. If you cannot find the email, please check your spam folder.

Please have all your documents saved to your computer before you start your application. See “What documentation do I need to apply?” for more information.

If you successfully submitted an application, you may check the status of your application by logging into the portal. Click YES to “Have you started an application?” and enter your email.

If you are unable to finish your application, you must sign back into the portal using your email. Please DO NOT create a new application with a different email address, as it will create duplicate applications and take longer to process and respond to you.

You can only apply for children who are 12 or younger (by December 25) and who live in your household. Children must live in your home, and you must be their legal guardian. If multiple families live in one home, each guardian must submit an application for their children.

If you are pregnant, you can apply for your baby if their due date is on or before December 25. Instead of a birth certificate, please upload a doctor’s note with the baby’s due date.

Before you begin to apply, please locate the following documents:

Proof of Residency – Needs to be within Travis and Williamson counties AND be the same address as your application. Documents accepted include lease agreement, mortgage paperwork, electric bill, water bill, cable bill, etc.

A photo ID for the parent/guardian. Photo ID’s accepted include your driver's license, government ID card, passport, or Consulate ID.

A birth certificate or Medicaid approval letter for each child. (Note: Medicaid card will NOT be accepted. It must be the approval letter.) If you are pregnant, please upload a doctor’s note with the baby’s due date instead of a birth certificate.

Each of these documents will need to be saved as a PDF or photo, ready to be uploaded, before you begin your application. You MUST first FIND the documents in your computer files and then UPLOAD them. If you have submitted the application correctly, the screen will say “thank you for submitting your application.”

Our team is working continuously to approve thousands of applications. When your application is accepted, you will receive an email with your appointment time in December to pick up your gifts. The email will come from [email protected]. If you cannot find the email, please check your spam folder.

If you successfully submitted an application, you may check the status of your application by logging into the portal. Click YES to “Have you started an application?” and enter your email.

Please DO NOT create a new application with a different email address, as it will create duplicate applications and take longer to process and respond to you.

Once approved, you will receive an appointment email with a date, time, and location for pickup. Email will come from [email protected]. If you cannot find the email, please check your spam folder.

You must bring your photo ID and your family code (starting with ATX) located in that email to pick up your gifts. If you can’t make your appointment, see “Can I reschedule my pick up?”

The warehouse has very limited parking spaces, which serves Salvation Army staff managing this program. You will receive an email before December 12 with specific parking information and instructions. Clients must park at specific parking lots nearby and we provide transportation to and from these locations.

If you do not have a personal vehicle, the warehouse is near the following Capital Metro bus routes: 1, 801, 486, 333, and 201.

If you can't make your scheduled appointment time, please go to the warehouse any time AFTER your scheduled appointment between 9 AM to 5 PM before December 20 (EXCLUDING Sunday, December 15).

We cannot serve anyone BEFORE an appointment date. You may be late for your appointment (as long as you arrive by 5PM), but unfortunately, we cannot serve you if you come early.

You must bring your photo ID and your family code (starting with ATX) located in your confirmation email. A representative can pick up gifts for you if they have a copy of your photo ID and your family code.
